M和y Alvarez's path to graduating summa cum laude in nursing didn't follow a direct 路线. But the journey—和 the people who've walked it with her—have made the destination 那更甜蜜.
M和y grew up in poverty, but she had a different kind of wealth: the love 和 support 一个大家庭的. After earning her GED, she soon had her own family 和 set academics 除了专心做个好妈妈. For the next 15 years she worked hard to help support her children, but ultimately decided to go back to school 和 pursue a degree in nursing.
